<span style="font-size: large;">Playstation All Stars received a huge update yesterday on PSN, weighing in at a little over 1 GB on PS3. This file is particularly large because it includes 2 characters and an additional stage (which have to be purchased). Most importantly, though, the update includes a lot of balance adjustments to several characters, and some tweaking to the game. Read the full article for the full list of changes!</span><br />

<div style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
<img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3_9WqoUQInfp_w7yIrquhoHs6H6JpdL5ZExOGClhxvlWB8W3Qt7UihU8JbwMo_kMaiiPnGp9PnP7VZ0h65YAQkMXApXZaG76FTOLm6Lf7WWr7d7me75zaosJFcaTyPz5ryXs2Y4MOR-8/s1600/Ninja+Gaiden+-+Ayane+Gameplay.png" height="100" width="180" /></div>
<span style="font-size: large;">The Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge demo hit PSN last week. Now, go farm yourself some Karma points, purchase some skills, and a costume for Ryu, Ayane, or both because this demo will allow you to keep it all when the retail version hits store shelves on April 2nd. Gameplay videos and my impression in the full article!</span></div>
<br />
<a name='more'></a>So far this demo looks a lot more promising in comparison to the orignal Ninja Gaiden 3 that released last year. A lot of the technical issues present in Ninja Gaiden 3 are non-existent in this version. What's more, this version appears to be superior to the Wii U version graphically. Also, I didn't encounter any problematic framerate issues that hindered my experience as the first release of this game. Of course, this demo only allows you to play on 2 stages with either Ryu or Ayane, so it remains to be seen if the entire game will run as smoothly. After playing the demo for several hours, I believe it will be one of the better action games to come out this year - alongside MGS: Rising and God of War: Ascension.<br />
<br />
I really like that I will be able to transfer my Karma points and skills acquired in the demo in the retail version. And while the demo only offers a couple of stages to play on, and without Kasumi or Momiji (who will be in the final game), you can unlock other game modes by completing the both character's missions. If you manage to complete them both on Normal, you will unlock the Hard difficulty and so forth for finishing the harder difficulties. You'll also be able to unlock other game modes like Chapter Challenge which allows you to play with any character on any chapter to record your highest scores.
Gameplay-wise, NG: Razor's Edge is still very challenging, even more so when you unlock the higher difficulties. However, for those of you who don't have the skills, or find Ninja Gaiden's difficulty to be too unforgiving, you can choose the Hero difficulty. In this difficulty mode, your characters will autoblock and dodge when your health is low.<br />
<br />
Check out gameplay videos of myself playing through the demo with both characters.

In it, the focus isn't just on doing some of the most impressive combos you'll ever see Morrigan do, but the editing also takes the front seat here. In this article, you'll see the video, and I take a minute to respond to some of the criticism.</div></span><br />
<a name='more'></a><span style="font-size: large;">First of all, I'm not the editor of this video, so I can't take the credit for it. However, I can say, as a viewer, that I personally saw the video several times through and was thoroughly impressed by my brother's (referred to as DTM) work. In particular, I loved the ending, which used Morrigan's classic MVC1 theme - it really felt like an ending! Now, with that said, I'm very aware of some of the negative feedback; a few (emphasis on few) are making exaggerated claims of the video being unwatchable because of the resizing of some of the clips. Constructive criticism is fine, but to pretend that you can't watch it all, or that you're some combo video critic with refined tastes is preposterous. I might even dare say - given the overwhelming positive response - that you just might be, as the urban dictionary defines it, a hater. Okay, that's probably not true. Still, the point remains, I believe some of the criticism to be exaggerated and I personally disagree with it. <br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">So, you're probably wondering what to expect from this video. You'll see a lot of Soul-Fist flight cancel combos, as well as some Soul Drains that take Morrigan's meter from 0 to level 3! If you consider the fact that a couple of the combos don't even end with a Hyper Combo, and start from as little meter as possible, this video should be very impressive to watch. Also, you can see that when assists are brought into the mix, Morrigan's Astral Vision, coupled with her new Soul Drain fireball, proves to be quite demoralizing for the opponent! There were a couple of combos that didn't make the cut, so another combo video is being CONSIDERED. Yes, considered is put in all caps because I don't want to get anyone's hopes up for a new video. Not to mention, a lot of people may just assume that means we're (Me and DTM) are going to make another one. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Without further ado, you can check the video below, if you haven't yet. Note: A transcript will be written up soon and pasted in the video's description on youtube. I may also paste it in the comments on this page, or in this article, if I deem it necessary.<br />

Video footage of this stage in the full article.<br />
</span></div><a name='more'></a><span style="font-size: large;">Ever remember seeing that stage in early footage of Tekken Tag 2 shown at MLG Dallas? I remember seeing this stage, and wondering to myself where it went. Some replay footage shows what appears to be a training stage/danger room for TTT2. Aesthetically, it has all the traditional features of a training stage when compared to training stages in the PSP versions of Tekken 5 & 6. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">What's interesting about this stage is not just how it looks however; it seems to be complete with floor breaks and wall breaks. In one video, you can see the newest wall break animation where the character goes flying to the level below and your tag partner comes in to finish the combo. If this also has the conventional wall break from stages like the moonlight wilderness, you can imagine that this stage would be perfect for practicing those situational juggles with a simple position reset. Even if it doesn't feature a conventional wall break, I always enjoy seeing a new stage for my favorite fighting game series. Personally, I can't wait to make tutorials on this level! </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">While more tutorials are on the way from me, there's going to be a period where I'll be playing and making a guide for</span> <span style="font-size: large;">the upcoming Dark Souls game. This doesn't mean the Tekken videos will stop; they'll simply be put on hold until my Dark Souls project is completed. With that said, I'm very interested to hear what characters are the most demanded for tutorials. Once enough feedback is left, I can focus on said character(s) until Dark Souls is released. Rest assured, the Tekken 6 videos will resume immediately after my Dark Souls videos and guides are complete. So please leave a comment below so I can get to work on specific videos. The characters with the most comments will get priority.</span>Byakkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07331702509172914178noreply@blogger.com20tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787526029634369164.post-63242178985086963602011-09-17T08:36:00.002-05:002011-09-17T13:23:15.111-05:00Awesome replay footage of final stage in TTT2.<div class="ssmainhide"><div style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="100" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYnBSX3GVoH-gA06bhmarg8XhnCO4nuDk78XzYoH0x0oCcQaUtJ-HjGUFVlWqfJQTxji37iSmZ2jO5blnBJB26UVMYFPic94pbUzP6Q04JcYw7vEiT9gKDcfmc0LmRLzreRa70EOmS5y0/s1600/TTT2finalstage.png" width="180" /></div><span style="font-size: large;">This is the final stage where Tekken Tag Tournament 2's final boss fights on. It's a bit lengthy, but it will teach you what you can juggle from, and what will connect from each of his juggle starters. Some tidbits are included about his juggles; what's best for okizeme, for beginners, and even how unsafe some juggle starters are. Other juggle information include his low parry juggles and situational juggle starters. This video breaks everything down, starting with his juggle starters, then moving onto possible juggle fillers and enders. In the next video, I'll go over his wall splats and combos with the walls.</span><br />

Additionally, this game is going to be released on both PS3 and Xbox 360! Gameplay trailer available in the full post.</span><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></div><a name='more'></a><span style="font-size: large;">After several years of waiting, finally a new Dead or Alive game is in development. This also marks the first time since Dead or Alive 2 that any DOA game has made an appearance on a Playstation console. Perhaps with Itagaki out of the picture, we won't see many exclusive titles for either console from Tecmo. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">From the trailer, there appear to be some new features that might make it into the final game. There is a lot going on with the background as Ryu and Hayate are fighting atop some construction site. For example, you can see metal beams knocking over pillars and the floor growing seemingly unsteady. Eventually, the trailer ends with Ryu hanging by a ledge after a very cinematic-like special move from Hayate. How this might affect the final version of the game remains to be seen. The trailer is available for your viewing pleasure below. Make judgments for yourself, as I am no experienced DOA player.</span><br />

Check out the full promotional video by clicking "read more". </span></div><a name='more'></a><span style="font-size: large;">This new feature in Street Fighter x Tekken allows you to sacrifice your partner in exchange for a huge boost in power. For anyone thinking this will be a scrubby comeback mechanic, I've heard that once you activate pandora, you will have a limited time to finish off your opponent. This lengthy trailer also details some new online features such as a 2 on 2 battle mode where all 4 characters fight at once. Personally, I don't find that particular feature very appealing to seasoned fighting game players. I do, however, like the idea of entering a training mode with a partner online until challengers show up. Watch the video yourself below to formulate your own opinions.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">As if the teaser trailers weren't obvious enough, the new characters are Rolento, Zangief, Lili, and Heihachi. There's also some new videos floating around the net showing these characters cross arts and other special moves. If I can, I'll get a hold of those and upload them, too. Anyway, is it just me, or does Heihachi look comical? In one screenshot, he bears an almost uncanny resemblance to Dr. Wily. Whatever; I just want Lee or Jin - hopefully both - to make an appearance in this game.</span><br />

Unfortunately, SEGA doesn't seem to feel like Virtua Fighter 5 R would garner much in the way of sales, and they seem to be ignoring the prospect of a console release. Now I'm no market analyst, but it's a little easy to understand Sega's decision; they just seem to be overlooking some glaring details, however. Virtua Fighter 5 released exclusively for the PS3 back around the launch period, when the console's supply was scarce. It later went multiplatform and gained features like: online support, some tweaks to the gameplay, and I (think) extra costumes.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieE0TeMLCfonrXJpyaMhNcEoBvBYSu-6LX6v0TdTJrqHuWZmGqbHrTcU-5smXYY3ScuYTdWCFMipWBsWiLjwjnff6vi8AupXIsAhU8fG9-XiEGTQ2VAGoa4A2ZcO7rgu4TTp-4R68BRIM/s1600-h/VF5R+jean+vs+fat+guy.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieE0TeMLCfonrXJpyaMhNcEoBvBYSu-6LX6v0TdTJrqHuWZmGqbHrTcU-5smXYY3ScuYTdWCFMipWBsWiLjwjnff6vi8AupXIsAhU8fG9-XiEGTQ2VAGoa4A2ZcO7rgu4TTp-4R68BRIM/s400/VF5R+jean+vs+fat+guy.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434699978700863394" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 255); font-weight: bold;"> The two new additions (one from Virtua Fighter 3) in Virtua Fighter 5 R.</span></span><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">What confuses me is, how did SEGA overlook the fact that Virtua Fighter released on PS3, at a time when PS3s couldn't be found? Moreover, the game has sold somewhere around 520,000 copies on the PS3 alone; with about 220,000 on Xbox. Granted, those figures may have taken awhile to be pertinent, but the point remains that it released at a pretty bad time. Also, this is 2010, and the PS3's installed base has more than tripled since then, and it's consistently growing. Do I even need to mention that there aren't any 3D fighters (with the exception of the DOA5 rumor) scheduled for a 2010 release? If SEGA got cracking now, they might be able to make it by the end of 2010, no?<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipCvCs_itv3F-pbTCJv02mqJRZ4vMglwn0XIewQIYjkmFvAfz4GD81otV8yOUiLTS9MpOfESCtc3a5TZ17B_Zymi2Yd96GbFLvzjGPRW2mR4fmscJMGh2Teb9aAQUNJ_z32QLTSlxs3Xk/s1600-h/VF5R+jean.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipCvCs_itv3F-pbTCJv02mqJRZ4vMglwn0XIewQIYjkmFvAfz4GD81otV8yOUiLTS9MpOfESCtc3a5TZ17B_Zymi2Yd96GbFLvzjGPRW2mR4fmscJMGh2Teb9aAQUNJ_z32QLTSlxs3Xk/s400/VF5R+jean.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434712542156053746" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 204, 255);">Maybe you didn't like VF's character selection; you might like this badass fellow, Jean.</span></span><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Most of you who are reading this, might have come from my <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/byakokoko">Tekken videos</a>, and probably don't like or care for Virtua Fighter. Fair enough, but understand a few things here: Virtua Fighter 4 was the reason I was inspired to make tutorials, because of its comprehensive training mode. Also, you can't deny that Virtua Fighter has had a positive effect on Tekken and its customization options. If you were like me, you probably didn't find any character on Virtua Fighter's roster that interested you. For those of you who feel that way, you should check out the new addition to 5 R, Jean. Myself, I took interest in Goh and Eileen. It seems to me like the guys behind Virtua Fighter have made a conscious effort to make the characters more appealing. This is something I believe the team has noted from the Tekken team and their creations. In the end, Virtua Fighter and Tekken are a great example of good competition that results in better games. With this in mind, you should conclude that (regardless of personal convictions) Virtua Fighter is necessary for the growth of 3D fighting games.<br /><br /></div><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 255);"></span></div></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_zFLGOsKiupmEtG4ymXvMZuNe4vQImG3l2oLDW5P1OEyDtgS31lGDeqC4ULZ1v0WsLySVmdgor4navZ2LOcoEZwxhgEYotlWWbai7kMve3bb85O8PVu3y2NNLcxfQJVaKtrFc3GXP9Bg/s1600-h/virtua+fighter+5+R+screenshot.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_zFLGOsKiupmEtG4ymXvMZuNe4vQImG3l2oLDW5P1OEyDtgS31lGDeqC4ULZ1v0WsLySVmdgor4navZ2LOcoEZwxhgEYotlWWbai7kMve3bb85O8PVu3y2NNLcxfQJVaKtrFc3GXP9Bg/s400/virtua+fighter+5+R+screenshot.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434699780560162866" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(0, 204, 204);font-size:78%;" ><span style="font-weight: bold;">Sega, don't make another mistake like you did with Valkyria Chronicles 2.</span></span><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Sega has already made the poor decision of bringing a Valkyria Chronicles sequel to PSP instead of PS3, and so far it isn't faring as well as it could have, sales-wise. 2010 or early 2011 would be an excellent time for Virtua Fighter 5 R to come back and give Tekken some quality, healthy competition on the market. In conclusion, it would only seem logical for SEGA to bring Virtua Fighter 5 R to consoles as soon as possible. That game is going to be Star Ocean The Last Hope International. Recently, I took a gander at White Knight Chronicles trophy list and was a little underwhelmed. What? Am I basing this decision on trophies? No, not entirely, but trophies do give you a hint at what kind of content you can expect out of a game. Besides, I'm not a trophy whore; I just prefer to collect platinums for my favorite games. So what else prompted me to choose Star Ocean over White Knight Chronicles?<br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN-a1Svjiz79N3R4L6jWCa0QJAAEV96MdPTgIZxymLNHJ4GD-wavDyQtB_tC3i8Qp9sD12bWzDILqyU-2fsnqq7flGF2OgBeAASVL26vZ5VoV0IUXYsk2flZI8kARTKkSEeZ6Ai-1XdnE/s1600-h/star_ocean_ps3.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 226px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN-a1Svjiz79N3R4L6jWCa0QJAAEV96MdPTgIZxymLNHJ4GD-wavDyQtB_tC3i8Qp9sD12bWzDILqyU-2fsnqq7flGF2OgBeAASVL26vZ5VoV0IUXYsk2flZI8kARTKkSEeZ6Ai-1XdnE/s400/star_ocean_ps3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434273922189064418" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:78%;"> <span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 255); font-weight: bold;">Vibrant color palette, fluid animations and a good assortment of characters to play as.</span></span><br /></div><br />Having seen various trailers from both games, coming to this decision was easy for me. To me, both games seem to need a little more impact or feedback during battle. For instance, striking an enemy doesn't generate the kind of graphic and sound that make you feel like you did something as epic as the screen displays - something I personally feel Star Ocean 3 for PS2 did flawlessly. That said, in comparison with what I've seen from WKC, at least the character animations are a bit more fluid, and overall appear more vivid and detailed. Speaking of characters, Star Ocean has a variety of characters that you can bring into your party.<br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdWr2kq8xpu3XJgfj4PQFAd3FZVkcmj6TyCSC1hE9x12iiUJL_Ws-m3aV7ycdd2efW6M1TEbUjRXt6JWRDG_GyAHuK9frcBfipzWZo9FvKkHi-EBkqGl7aM1Ol3UwHfmM8LHigP91WK5M/s1600-h/star+ocean+3.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdWr2kq8xpu3XJgfj4PQFAd3FZVkcmj6TyCSC1hE9x12iiUJL_Ws-m3aV7ycdd2efW6M1TEbUjRXt6JWRDG_GyAHuK9frcBfipzWZo9FvKkHi-EBkqGl7aM1Ol3UwHfmM8LHigP91WK5M/s400/star+ocean+3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5434279039330981794" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 255);font-size:78%;" ><span style="font-weight: bold;">You could really feel the impact of special attacks in Star Ocean 3.</span></span><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">Although I couldn't find Star Ocean 4's trophy list anywhere, I did stumble across the achievement list for the 360 version. After a quick look at it, it certainly seems daunting, which is a big reason I'm picking this game right now over WKC. Speaking of WKC, I will be picking it up eventually, and by no means am I going to claim Star Ocean better - especially since I've played neither game yet. Back on topic, Star Ocean 3 was the first game to ever introduce some type of achievement system but unlike 360 achievements, they gave the game more replay value by adding unlockable difficulties as well as costumes. I believe I was somewhere near 95% completion of Star Ocean 3's battle trophies. When this game hits my hands on Feb 9th or 10th, I'll be tackling each character's battle trophies, and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/byakokoko">I'll put up videos of how to obtain the toughest ones, among other things.</a><br /></div></div>Byakkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07331702509172914178noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787526029634369164.post-27488594744947724632010-01-31T21:32:00.000-06:002010-01-31T22:16:30.390-06:00Quick guess about Super Street Fighter IV's new characters.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-2Kq7FExbqozieSn_0sTIor2ZAJzW9iPNCPRDhkRHPgeYGGdEkCij0xFr6brhkWR6VWTVinar894MXPQwv__A57MkROJSsKyJPHQcEoSM-olJ9_q9_9KZGWDWupNftsnjj_javkox4a0/s1600-h/Super-Street-Fighter-IV-Character-Select.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 229px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-2Kq7FExbqozieSn_0sTIor2ZAJzW9iPNCPRDhkRHPgeYGGdEkCij0xFr6brhkWR6VWTVinar894MXPQwv__A57MkROJSsKyJPHQcEoSM-olJ9_q9_9KZGWDWupNftsnjj_javkox4a0/s400/Super-Street-Fighter-IV-Character-Select.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433113398934264594" border="0" /></a>If you've been around the internet, or youtube, you've probably seen this character select screen of Super Street Fighter IV. One thing that should stand out to you, is that there are still 4 slots to be filled. There's already speculation out there that suggests they will be three Street Fighter III characters, and likely one more all-new character. Looking at the layout of the character select screen, you can see why that speculation is pretty concrete.<br /><br />In one area (left side) you have: Ryu, Ken, Honda, Juri, Chun Li, Dhalsim, Guile, Blanka, and Zangief. That's one new character (Juri), and eight World Warrior (Classic) Street Fighters. To the right of them, we can see three unfilled slots, and in one area we have: Abel, C.Viper, El Fuerte, and Rufus. These characters are the new additions from Street Fighter IV, if you noticed. Next to them, we have the bosses, or Shadoloo team: Bison, Vega, Sagat and Balrog. To their right you see the additions from SF II Turbo: Cammy, Fei Long, Dee Jay, and T.Hawk. Above them you have those crazy a-hole bosses that you hate: Akuma, Seth, and Gouken. Finally, on the far right you have your Street Fighter Alpha characters: Gen, Dan, Sakura, Cody, Guy, Adon, and Rose.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPCXV4FeZUyTJ9AbfIihzbjF-UD6NvLWtwYFuECkx4F6LODgCLSYqLX2JjvkczgXeg08-vQyoTLGiYD6HeY50XBeGRzzBi2_sy8947IDD1JBeWmAHYXcmKNhnCZOVgTqUpV3WLDATpwNo/s1600-h/streetfighterEX3.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPCXV4FeZUyTJ9AbfIihzbjF-UD6NvLWtwYFuECkx4F6LODgCLSYqLX2JjvkczgXeg08-vQyoTLGiYD6HeY50XBeGRzzBi2_sy8947IDD1JBeWmAHYXcmKNhnCZOVgTqUpV3WLDATpwNo/s400/streetfighterEX3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433119594632033074" border="0" /></a><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 204, 255);font-size:78%;" ><br />I actually liked some of those EX Characters like Hokuto, and Kairi, but those belong to Akira.</span><br /></div><br />So how does that point to any Street Fighter III characters and one new addition? Well, it's the only game from the Street Fighter series left - besides Street Fighter EX. If you're even thinking Street Fighter EX, don't; most of the newer Street Fighter EX characters I believe are licensed to Akira anyways. Unless Capcom wants to pay them licensing fees for those characters, they'd best go with their own creations. - I'm speaking about Street Fighter III. I anticipate the following characters will make it from Street Fighter III: Makoto, Dudley, and Ibuki. As for the new character? I haven't the slightest idea, but it should be very interesting and fun to see.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLiucY2kLXV24ewChKDKcxHyVQh4kqMYaSGxuCPl_Bos_Gm3Nt0QJ-R8QPrWCgr-MNPKcg6gL6Osq8GC3kbqpGIgCyY3qZ3BPAxq2dVtnFGiUNcvwIVxfUMS-zsUDQz-2MzlyhJnYtZ_A/s1600-h/Makoto+SF3.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLiucY2kLXV24ewChKDKcxHyVQh4kqMYaSGxuCPl_Bos_Gm3Nt0QJ-R8QPrWCgr-MNPKcg6gL6Osq8GC3kbqpGIgCyY3qZ3BPAxq2dVtnFGiUNcvwIVxfUMS-zsUDQz-2MzlyhJnYtZ_A/s400/Makoto+SF3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5433121113162603650" border="0" /></a><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 204, 255);font-size:78%;" ><br />Easily my favorite character from Street Fighter III, Makoto.</span><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I'm basing my predictions on a lot of the internet buzz, but also Capcom's Ono-san saying that they're including some of the most demanded characters from the SF universe. Makoto, Dudley, and Ibuki were some of the more popular, new characters from Street Fighter III. Beyond that though, I personally think those three are the most pleasing, aesthetically. Even if the previously mentioned characters don't make it from SFIII, I can almost guarantee you there will be three characters from Street Fighter III. I expect an all-new character as well.<br /></div></div>Byakkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07331702509172914178noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787526029634369164.post-82702729258604979142010-01-28T02:28:00.000-06:002010-01-29T06:57:07.695-06:00Bayonetta patched with an optional HDD install to eliminate long load times.After being heavily scrutinized here in the west, it comes as no surprise Bayonetta has gotten its first patch. It seems like a long time to release this however, after Sony had announced they'd be lending SEGA a hand in eliminating the PS3 version's issues nearly a month or so ago. Nonetheless a patch for HDD drive is added, and after just installing it first hand, I can tell you it makes a huge difference in loading times. Whether anything else is addressed remains to be seen, but hopefully they're still working on it. Either way, I never felt the issues were enough to hinder the experience, as it's still very playable.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLHa3cTtETXJtAg41k4OyKgmBJa_PQu6v8krMc4NvLGOZSVP4a-IMsI-K4To8lqS3OhzlQhMX5ETqmI76IctanSRBl4UQoHIli7b5WIz_n-4KeXkZr_tzspqBFBq__5cEam34poODVgeE/s1600-h/Bayonetta+HD.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLHa3cTtETXJtAg41k4OyKgmBJa_PQu6v8krMc4NvLGOZSVP4a-IMsI-K4To8lqS3OhzlQhMX5ETqmI76IctanSRBl4UQoHIli7b5WIz_n-4KeXkZr_tzspqBFBq__5cEam34poODVgeE/s400/Bayonetta+HD.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431709335558702242" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="color: rgb(102, 255, 255); font-weight: bold;">Those pesky loading times are fixed now thanks to the optional HDD install.</span></span><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 255);"> </span><span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 204, 255);font-size:78%;" >Hopefully the screen tearing gets fixed.</span><br /></div><br />You might be wondering when my Tekken 6 tutorials will be up on <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/byakokoko">youtube</a>. Look, I often spend the time I get working on them, however I admit they don't receive priority because of the views they receive. Even though I appreciate the positive feedback, and I love giving more insight on your favorite characters, it just can be a lot of work to put them together. Believe it or not, I generally am only 70% satisfied with my finished product. Ideally, I want to make the tutorials as appealing to everyone as possible. So with that said, I'd like to know who your favorite character is so I can pick up that particular character to give some tips for. It started with the incredibly awesome Demon's Souls, which is still very fun to play; thanks to its original online co-op and PVP options. Now White Knight Chronicles and Star Ocean: The Last Hope International seek to join the PS3's incredible line-up of diverse RPGs for 2010. If you felt like Demon's Souls wasn't heavy enough on the story for your tastes, then don't overlook White Knight Chronicles. It promises to boast its own share of online co-op functions as well, while still maintaining its traditional single player story mode. Personally, I'm more looking forward to Star Ocean, being the avid Tri-Ace junkie that I am. I still remember getting nearly every battle trophy in Star Ocean 3, and thinking about how amazing a Star Ocean for PS3 would be.<br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgASSGnw-TyGQ1-D8-3hklXzqKgHXF4VtBjV679PFgh3bnPeSLNU5FyioVdq5xJ3I9L6Sw0ppVKelZqbuWehsj1oadK5YnKU2OV7C1EwF2fJNA3y8YQbhKnWAEEj_o4Nj8ArY3VXRtnIYg/s1600-h/wkc5.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgASSGnw-TyGQ1-D8-3hklXzqKgHXF4VtBjV679PFgh3bnPeSLNU5FyioVdq5xJ3I9L6Sw0ppVKelZqbuWehsj1oadK5YnKU2OV7C1EwF2fJNA3y8YQbhKnWAEEj_o4Nj8ArY3VXRtnIYg/s400/wkc5.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431702134519028178" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:78%;"><br /></span><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 255); font-weight: bold;font-size:78%;" >This White Knight seeks to save the RPG genre by bringing some traditional elements back</span><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 255); font-weight: bold;">.</span></span><br /></div><br />Which brings me to my current poll - the one below the favorite Tekken 6 character poll. There are several aspects of RPGs that have put RPGs on the forefront of gaming. Since the saturation of several shooting games however, RPGs have almost taken a back seat in gaming. We're in an era right now that is naming Fallout 3 an RPG. Which seems very unusual and unsettling, in my opinion. It seems like anything with RPG ELEMENTS is being slapped with an RPG label. With all due respect to shooting fans, I just think it's a farce to label any game that doesn't have RPG fundamentals at its core, an RPG. That said, I don't really blame shooters for this - no it's the lack of RPGs in general that allowed Fallout 3 to get away with this. It seems like it's the fact that you can jump right into Fallout 3 and get to killing stuff. So I want to know: what is it that you look forward to most in an RPG?<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKCLtWaVkX4cs6iF9CSj-i_K0qpP7bFYwipgnXlJbAiyqVfra_53t4ugOE9kt33j4uzhxGlrCNoYNdkoUtyd6UcqNWpSVXqXthfLne0vSknRNfjGbc0_reeG55LZ-6pq9Sk3ugMz4RPJc/s1600-h/RPG.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 172px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKCLtWaVkX4cs6iF9CSj-i_K0qpP7bFYwipgnXlJbAiyqVfra_53t4ugOE9kt33j4uzhxGlrCNoYNdkoUtyd6UcqNWpSVXqXthfLne0vSknRNfjGbc0_reeG55LZ-6pq9Sk3ugMz4RPJc/s400/RPG.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431703973295117634" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 255);font-size:78%;" ><span style="font-weight: bold;">I think maybe western developers took the term "RPG" the wrong way.</span></span><br /></div><br />Most RPG enthusiasts will likely point to story as their favorite aspect. And while I certainly agree to an extent, I can't help but get addicted to the battle aspect of RPGs. Yes, there's just something about getting max stats, and pounding out tons of damage that just satisfies me. My history with games is more rooted in the fighting genre; that might explain my enthusiasm there. That's not to say that any RPG that allows me to dish out 20,000 points of damage is instantly my favorite. No, I need balance as much as game play depth, and most importantly a challenge. Who really likes mashing buttons to finish a fight anymore? Casual gamers maybe, but fighting games have taught me better than that. - I actually know what buttons I'm pressing.<br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtyBrxhAaGVLPVHnYgy2-9o0twVV1cdVpkGsssxIi25HU7vAFnQ8tqSzPafaxzCg4raKhXr8dLYfv0OqYGRO2qT3NH2xsXRNzuMfXewl-8nDEsI1EELxCHAFJDlrd3mM1WW_77c_3jJp8/s1600-h/SO4BATTLE_CHAINCOMBO.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtyBrxhAaGVLPVHnYgy2-9o0twVV1cdVpkGsssxIi25HU7vAFnQ8tqSzPafaxzCg4raKhXr8dLYfv0OqYGRO2qT3NH2xsXRNzuMfXewl-8nDEsI1EELxCHAFJDlrd3mM1WW_77c_3jJp8/s400/SO4BATTLE_CHAINCOMBO.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431702730414595906" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 255); font-weight: bold;">A deep, balanced, and frenetic battle system is important to me when it comes to RPGs.</span></span><br /></div><br />Likely, we'd all disagree on this one, which is fine, but I urge RPG enthusiasts out there to aim to be a little more conscious of what RPGs should be. After all, if we stripped away everything from RPGs, all we'd be left with is novels. Please vote in the poll to the right (below the Tekken poll) so I can see what you think.Byakkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07331702509172914178noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787526029634369164.post-17285046515050498662010-01-17T10:51:00.000-06:002010-01-17T16:10:02.493-06:00Tekken 6 update tomorrow. Personal update on my videos.Tekken 6 is expected to get a much needed update for Scenario Campaign tomorrow. The update is to finally allow for 2 players via online co-op. Hopefully that isn't all however, since it'd be safe to assume that Tekken enthusiasts have probably exhausted the use of SC mode by now. No announcements regarding anything new with the update, but I'm personally hoping for something in the way of costumes. Regardless, it will be great to finally replace Alisa with a reliable human partner.<br /><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikrD93EcGRBtoMFyBUWAc4bOu3HZDTwQJiWYZHykOjvZfxG7RMLt_EmyYVSio7iDmGzN9iFbHCPGglWznCB0dr2184JF2GvkQ3HnQ1kjgULwXsp2EAby0Xh_fi4xwJSFB4BDD4jwabL54/s1600-h/TEKKEN+6_2.png"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikrD93EcGRBtoMFyBUWAc4bOu3HZDTwQJiWYZHykOjvZfxG7RMLt_EmyYVSio7iDmGzN9iFbHCPGglWznCB0dr2184JF2GvkQ3HnQ1kjgULwXsp2EAby0Xh_fi4xwJSFB4BDD4jwabL54/s400/TEKKEN+6_2.png" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427833125858445746" border="0" /></a><span style="font-weight: bold;font-size:78%;" ><span style="color: rgb(102, 255, 255);">Scenario Campaign gets an update for January 18th (tomorrow).</span></span><br /><br /></div>As for my youtube channel & its videos, well I've finally ordered an HD capture card, which should arrive on the 20-21st this month. There is still 1 video that needs to be produced, however. A simple video(s) that covers all the Broken Witch Heart and Moon Pearl locations. Speaking of Bayonetta videos, the combo video is on hold until I get my hands on that elusive HD capture card I'm always talking about. It sounds simple, but it required me to get myself an upgraded PC to use the hardware. Thankfully, in the previous weeks I've purchased the necessary parts for this. This also means that I have a much better workhorse for video production - my laptop just isn't sufficient for heavy tasks.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyYENaMjE77HF63DfeZx05IwvYExG2hvWWscaMC0dCVh7LSByNBOArTsOheXPgOQWQMGXgCurFtI5_wYMKiHMsFzHpmnoi959bNZTCHxmiDnneh0u_0RDRK5RdOOnIrztuzPN8Gg-49vs/s1600-h/star+ocean+4+ps3+2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 224px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyYENaMjE77HF63DfeZx05IwvYExG2hvWWscaMC0dCVh7LSByNBOArTsOheXPgOQWQMGXgCurFtI5_wYMKiHMsFzHpmnoi959bNZTCHxmiDnneh0u_0RDRK5RdOOnIrztuzPN8Gg-49vs/s400/star+ocean+4+ps3+2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425758487100583010" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyYENaMjE77HF63DfeZx05IwvYExG2hvWWscaMC0dCVh7LSByNBOArTsOheXPgOQWQMGXgCurFtI5_wYMKiHMsFzHpmnoi959bNZTCHxmiDnneh0u_0RDRK5RdOOnIrztuzPN8Gg-49vs/s1600-h/star+ocean+4+ps3+2.jpg"><span style="display: block;" id="formatbar_Buttons"><span class="on down" style="display: block;" id="formatbar_JustifyLeft" title="Align Left" onmouseover="ButtonHoverOn(this);" onmouseout="ButtonHoverOff(this);" onmouseup="" onmousedown="CheckFormatting(event);FormatbarButton('richeditorframe', this, 10);ButtonMouseDown(this);"><img src="http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif" alt="Align Left" class="gl_align_left" border="0" /></span></span></a><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 204, 204);"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Star Ocean: The Last Hope International is due next month, and I hope I can bring some videos for it.<br /></span></span></span><br /><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 204, 204);"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><span style="font-size:100%;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><br /></span></span></span></span></span></span><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="font-size:100%;">Star Ocean for PS3 is finally arriving on February 9th, and it's one of the many great games that will be arriving in 2010. The Star Ocean series is known for having plenty of extras to boast replay value, so finding some content to make of it shouldn't be a problem. Presently though, with my trusty new PC, I now have access to a flash editor that I will be experimenting with to maybe bring a guide. I'll try to keep my blog up to date with the status of that. For a guinea pig, I might experiment with Demon's Souls to see how a flash guide turns out.</span></span><br /><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="font-size:100%;"><br /><br /></span></span></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjA6tmdYVOsiZA2l9hffSr7B0P9mJ1LMKzEf86qKiQ0vZe99PO7OZJmqimIFaDhl_G33dj9wwSsH9DCyK7S8QiVDFz9uBJD2bwEu8EAPE82O84nIgWqOW27gMLlrMHuQg0-lgiBYdDg7M/s1600-h/wkc.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 226px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjA6tmdYVOsiZA2l9hffSr7B0P9mJ1LMKzEf86qKiQ0vZe99PO7OZJmqimIFaDhl_G33dj9wwSsH9DCyK7S8QiVDFz9uBJD2bwEu8EAPE82O84nIgWqOW27gMLlrMHuQg0-lgiBYdDg7M/s400/wkc.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425763920631801650" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 204, 204);"><span style="font-weight: bold;">White Knight Chronicles is also due next month; I'll have my hands full.<br /><br /><br /><br /></span></span></span><div style="text-align: left;">While I'm not sure how deep White Knight Chronicles will be gameplay-wise, it's definitely a solid RPG that I could squeeze some videos out of. I'll examine the trophy lists out there and prep some videos I may have to do for WKC. Flash guide perhaps? Anyways, those are the top 2 games that I'm eyeballing, with Star Ocean being my personal favorite. Other releases in February include: Bioshock 2, Dante's Inferno and the highly anticipated Heavy Rain!<br /><br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg1DpYiyXFY4x8EU4RVvOMY5JbaC3O-fefK7XcaFtUTh6nvGkn8gX7YKiTS8BorkP0zicbF7S2pwPMXuH4odAfvkv5VVlXktMN0nfO6UxcX6g1WH_J-k7PX4Gzr1ssNWhjcIf5LfHE3xQ/s1600-h/heavyrain.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg1DpYiyXFY4x8EU4RVvOMY5JbaC3O-fefK7XcaFtUTh6nvGkn8gX7YKiTS8BorkP0zicbF7S2pwPMXuH4odAfvkv5VVlXktMN0nfO6UxcX6g1WH_J-k7PX4Gzr1ssNWhjcIf5LfHE3xQ/s400/heavyrain.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425769553990915554" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 204, 204);"><span style="font-weight: bold;">February is going to end with a bang with the release of Heavy Rain, and March is looking even better.</span></span></span><br /><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br />As it turns out, Final Fantasy 13 did not come with any beta codes for Final Fantasy 14, so I skipped out on importing it. With my new PC I was able to sign myself up for the beta (hope to get in), however. Given Final Fantasy 13's popularity, it's likely I won't do any videos regarding it unless I see fit. We'll see what happens though. But FFXIII isn't the only big game for March. The month of March is spearheaded by some big games like: Resonance of Fate, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, God of War 3, and then games such as Front Mission Evolved, Quantum, and Crysis 2 coming off the tail end. Note: I'm using Gamestop.com for my source of release dates, so this list is tentative.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibYIpP9j1Hks0PrSqlNa3o1JVrYfIUbswRgqMF8o5VFTV42FpmKmxb5BfRULf2fjs-j-UUhvdxmTlEkS0U-6CPYRaj6PK0ZgIjCLZiKYo6F7sK5t-UptNpr0D2w2pFIzwNVCBSYgKZ83I/s1600-h/busy.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 307px; height: 330px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibYIpP9j1Hks0PrSqlNa3o1JVrYfIUbswRgqMF8o5VFTV42FpmKmxb5BfRULf2fjs-j-UUhvdxmTlEkS0U-6CPYRaj6PK0ZgIjCLZiKYo6F7sK5t-UptNpr0D2w2pFIzwNVCBSYgKZ83I/s400/busy.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425812722729981170" border="0" /></a><span style="color: rgb(0, 204, 204);"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Yes, I stay busy, but not how the image implies. I'm bringing this up because I've gotten asked to play with people online, and I get messages from youtube and PSN seemingly almost everyday. So if I don't get around to answering your question or getting a chance to play with you online, I apologize. But I ask some of you to please keep in mind that I play more than Tekken 6, and I also have to work part time. Ultimately, I want to one day be able to get more free time and meet everyone's expectations, but it's impossible sometimes. That said, I hope you understand if I don't get around to answering a question or checking my PSN's message box.<br /><span style="color: rgb(0, 204, 204);"><span><span style="font-size:78%;"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"></span></span></span></span></div></div></div></div></div>Byakkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07331702509172914178noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787526029634369164.post-73353644420320964932010-01-01T19:29:00.000-06:002010-01-01T20:56:12.875-06:00Bayonetta is awesome - videos coming soon from my youtube channel<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5MevneFFRd8abEywUd8juFa42bFIW0OVxAcTOse9S7ToIbLjgCOLtiwkblBs70da_s7O6yLaWneznlfFSN5bipLytaiKLNuuvMaAGkdN2-LxKNL1U9rIjEPjPOzPjocdiEp7CIqK9Rtw/s1600-h/bayonetta0000.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5MevneFFRd8abEywUd8juFa42bFIW0OVxAcTOse9S7ToIbLjgCOLtiwkblBs70da_s7O6yLaWneznlfFSN5bipLytaiKLNuuvMaAGkdN2-LxKNL1U9rIjEPjPOzPjocdiEp7CIqK9Rtw/s400/bayonetta0000.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5421949562651787314" border="0" /></a>My Japanese copy of Bayonetta finally arrived about a week ago, courtesy of Play-Asia.com. I already gave my impressions of the demo that hit the PSN a couple of weeks ago, so you probably know how I feel about Bayonetta at this point. Reviewers out there like to give you a run down of the rather mundane aspects of the game, but they'll never personally go in-depth with Bayonetta as I have in the last week. Combat in Bayonetta is much like Devil May Cry in that it's very deep, yet simple and very dynamic. In fact, I have planned a combo video (yes, I can do more than play fighting games, fellas) for Bayonetta. Currently, the videos I have been working on are for uncovering the secret weapons, and also the locations of all the necessities.<br /><br />The videos should be ready hopefully by tomorrow, but it will definitely be done by Sunday. As for the combo video, I haven't recorded a lick of it. Ideally, I'd like to do one as soon as possible to attempt to raise more interest in this game. However, I really want to finish up the Tekken 6 tutorials I've been promising first. The holidays have freed up my time enough that videos have kept a steady pace, so a tutorial shouldn't be too unreasonable.<br /><br />I know, I said I'd give my impressions of End of Eternity, but it will have to wait until the previously mentioned projects are complete. As for Dante's Inferno well, it really was leaving little to be desired. The plot seems interesting, but who isn't thinking that it just seems like a God of War clone? Beyond that, combat is just too shallow for my tastes, and the Devil May Cry series has me spoiled. Personally, I believe that if a game wants to just walk me through a cinematic story, then I'd rather spend $8.50 on a movie than waste $60 on a 12-15 hour single player campaign. That's not to say Dante's Inferno has nothing to offer, but so far that's the impression it's left me with. A full game could definitely change my mind, so I'll reserve my final judgment until then.Byakkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07331702509172914178noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787526029634369164.post-41965745551933251232009-12-17T21:07:00.000-06:002009-12-17T22:22:16.443-06:00Quick News: Megaman 10, Final Fantasy 8 coming to PSN, and some pics of Super Street Fighter IV's new stages<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLVLwYEPaZ36MJLT_Rf5w1ZDj8YQKGVyZVcmfqPUzxnBziuPhZfOwEUj2oK-TX8bE3oU28Dj0Jr5q2xSZYlpkJXvabPQGmbBTUPmLMMfAe58tcpHQzqySzjZpAEX04Lm4zp9kXc8yI2v4/s1600-h/megaman10.png"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 222px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLVLwYEPaZ36MJLT_Rf5w1ZDj8YQKGVyZVcmfqPUzxnBziuPhZfOwEUj2oK-TX8bE3oU28Dj0Jr5q2xSZYlpkJXvabPQGmbBTUPmLMMfAe58tcpHQzqySzjZpAEX04Lm4zp9kXc8yI2v4/s400/megaman10.png" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416414907561769394" border="0" /></a><br />It comes as no surprise (to me anyway) that <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Capcom</span> has announced it's bringing <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Megaman</span> 10 to <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">PSN</span> with a TBA released date. Man I'm stoked for this game!<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ_taGTxjuCuz5VdMAJmXA5AuV6JVZlDW7zBKlWEqgHZkFVidpTfr6evlvOVzzteCpypAqdz7qEC0y1gq5lxHRdLC1sGzC8A1GhwksrjHlfCzkjHapNPJhrXuDB-CUNIp2R56aeruKZ1Y/s1600-h/SSF4stage5.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ_taGTxjuCuz5VdMAJmXA5AuV6JVZlDW7zBKlWEqgHZkFVidpTfr6evlvOVzzteCpypAqdz7qEC0y1gq5lxHRdLC1sGzC8A1GhwksrjHlfCzkjHapNPJhrXuDB-CUNIp2R56aeruKZ1Y/s400/SSF4stage5.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416415784586077122" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTWbyV-WdHJU-dhaHB5P_fWhCFMqptB_diKZS6BrWLkZFutmjr4vArpfqScyg2MAJl0-tAt1eDAwUeEYJTImw4w1X0GA6ESlsaEgUeuE9EfW1t51Gtyhpm7l0g7Fa6kGI_63olJ7M22Qc/s1600-h/SSF4stage4.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTWbyV-WdHJU-dhaHB5P_fWhCFMqptB_diKZS6BrWLkZFutmjr4vArpfqScyg2MAJl0-tAt1eDAwUeEYJTImw4w1X0GA6ESlsaEgUeuE9EfW1t51Gtyhpm7l0g7Fa6kGI_63olJ7M22Qc/s400/SSF4stage4.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416415718287868690" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVXsA0gs3IG-DzP1s7yB1a1fDaxt38dydFJ3CuI16elqkbqOYf65E8nVhOx8M1UozWeyJ8H_d-D9G4UjlVh2KkO9DKrc20Ky6yCpEw-OfyDRRqadvtEDFPsuFp_WRweVR4rCOM2W1yYwc/s1600-h/SSF4stage3.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVXsA0gs3IG-DzP1s7yB1a1fDaxt38dydFJ3CuI16elqkbqOYf65E8nVhOx8M1UozWeyJ8H_d-D9G4UjlVh2KkO9DKrc20Ky6yCpEw-OfyDRRqadvtEDFPsuFp_WRweVR4rCOM2W1yYwc/s400/SSF4stage3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416415636987264546" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7XLHPTXj6u3V9MiWP663ieFt6dT8C54fkJx4NCFMdrjyC_SMPdJ-pc9tJYCuKxuEUY_9kxwV0rIKf-35jabO9de7bRRHUcF9UFbv7cqLdD4bD5tywvbnFc7OBxyczrCY384SpHP8hjgk/s1600-h/SSF4stage2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7XLHPTXj6u3V9MiWP663ieFt6dT8C54fkJx4NCFMdrjyC_SMPdJ-pc9tJYCuKxuEUY_9kxwV0rIKf-35jabO9de7bRRHUcF9UFbv7cqLdD4bD5tywvbnFc7OBxyczrCY384SpHP8hjgk/s400/SSF4stage2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416415578854596306" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCILgAmUKjto4maisCpEJuN1sBPhNCymacneKIxJMzxoVs3LPAXcw8cDbKwmvzeiNTnHTinN2DTXybT-GCjhQ-0F6ZbkSF3XIezvHPCGDMy4fF9gBcJ_ADsXcOqAVMoqXvmf7hItk-GJo/s1600-h/SSF4.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCILgAmUKjto4maisCpEJuN1sBPhNCymacneKIxJMzxoVs3LPAXcw8cDbKwmvzeiNTnHTinN2DTXybT-GCjhQ-0F6ZbkSF3XIezvHPCGDMy4fF9gBcJ_ADsXcOqAVMoqXvmf7hItk-GJo/s400/SSF4.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5416415514260881250" border="0" /></a>Byakkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07331702509172914178noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3787526029634369164.post-26389497914021711842009-12-10T01:00:00.001-06:002009-12-10T01:10:42.979-06:00One more SD Video: Jin Combos after parry<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYTd-3qR84RCk-HZfIieXRzovj50_bV6w1urnX9KqFDn4Xs6lUkeRfsmRXLoB6VjK16s2AIeGQMaBbBbI6wpqknX9uw4g1Y9vOO3dOIj_O_UF9p5WuGgSbf31yEq6ZGTak7mhFhQs-i5I/s1600-h/TEKKEN+6_7.png"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYTd-3qR84RCk-HZfIieXRzovj50_bV6w1urnX9KqFDn4Xs6lUkeRfsmRXLoB6VjK16s2AIeGQMaBbBbI6wpqknX9uw4g1Y9vOO3dOIj_O_UF9p5WuGgSbf31yEq6ZGTak7mhFhQs-i5I/s400/TEKKEN+6_7.png" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413499123751896482" border="0" /></a><br />Initially, I didn't want to do another video until I was able to bring HD quality. However, that may be another week or two before I can afford the device(s) I need. So with that in mind, the next video that will be out within this week will be a Jin combo video. This one will be special though; every combo will be after his parry technique and low parry. This time, Jin Kazama will enjoy the spotlight.<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDm0OxjxT2MqOkckNUakhyFQ5sh4MIOg2fZImrXqwggN37U6CFy50ySj2qPZ3v3ghKtaKLpVUB-g1jxrTq-GsOHQGxvIy8UC-NOwAWTQsx9plG7CA9EiU97XLJSE3GkhtZ1LCvOugbC5Q/s1600-h/TEKKEN+6_8.png"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDm0OxjxT2MqOkckNUakhyFQ5sh4MIOg2fZImrXqwggN37U6CFy50ySj2qPZ3v3ghKtaKLpVUB-g1jxrTq-GsOHQGxvIy8UC-NOwAWTQsx9plG7CA9EiU97XLJSE3GkhtZ1LCvOugbC5Q/s400/TEKKEN+6_8.png" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413500303126384082" border="0" /></a><br />Another video I might do in SD - depending on the circumstance - will be a EWGF(seen above) and other just frames tutorial. It's been requested of me via PM on youtube but also a couple times in comments. The goal of my tutorial is to teach not just how to execute the move, but also the situations you can create to actually use the move. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/byakokoko">Subscribe to my youtube channel if you haven't already.</a>Byakkohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07331702509172914178noreply@blogger.com0
